The Learning Center. Our Learn@Hand subscriptions are perfect for training

courses are available in any location where you have Internet access.
Can the Learn@Hand courses run on Windows 3.1?
As you may know, Microsoft is no longer supporting the Windows 3.x operating system so our Learn@Hand content provider will be discontinuing support for this as of 1/1/2000. This change will allow our content provider to develop new course features faster without adapting them for the 16-bit Windows 3.x platform. After our mid-January new course installation, a student will be required to have a 32-bit windows operating system such as Windows 95/98 or Windows NT 4.0.
What are the system requirements to run a Learn @ Hand course?
Generally the courses at a minimum require a 486 PC, 33MHz, 8MB RAM,
Windows 95, VGA display with 256 colors.
How do I order a Learn@Hand training subscription?
All subscription part numbers are listed in the Storefront.
You may place an electronic order yourself through our Storefront, or
you may contact your Technology Consultant who will place the order for you.
Once the order is
submitted and the payment is processed, your Technology Consultant will
notify you with a Student ID, Password and Login Instructions. Your consultant will then notify you.
Are the Learn@Hand courses accredited for employee tuition reimbursement programs?
Similar to many classroom training providers throughout the U.S., our training partner, is a member of the Microsoft Independent Courseware Vendor Program (ICV) which means they are permitted to produce courses to be reviewed for the coveted Microsoft Certified Professional Approved Study Guide and the Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) logos.
Strict courseware development guidelines are published by Microsoft and must be followed by ICV members when producing courses to have any chance of receiving the logos. Once a course is finished it must also pass a complete review by Microsoft before any logo is granted. Courses containing either logo are your assurance that Microsoft has reviewed and approved the quality of the content in the course.
The Microsoft Certified Professional Approved Study Guide and MOUS program were developed to offer individuals a quality alternative to prepare for the various Microsoft certification programs. Everyone cannot afford the time and cost of attending instructor-led courses to prepare for the various certifications. By offering an alternative, Microsoft has given more individuals the opportunity to receive the many benefits of being certified.
Our training partner currently provides a complete set of courses through Hand Technology to help individuals prepare for both the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) certification exams. As the largest provider of these courses in real-time through the Internet at extremely attractive subscription pricing, handtech.com setting new standards of excellence in the training world.

Can I bookmark my last page worked so I can return directly to it the next time?
Yes, in 2 ways!
- The courses automatically use a global bookmark to mark the last page you were working on. This happens automatically when you click the EXIT button in the toolbar. Then the next time you sign on with your UserID and Password and select that course, you will be taken to the marked location where you left off. This global bookmarking feature works even if your next log in is from another computer.
- You can also bookmark the last page worked on by adding it to your Bookmarks or Favorites on your individual browser. However this type of bookmark would not take you to where you last left off if your next log in is on a different computer, hence a different browser.
What do I need to do to get full course completion credit?
To get full credit for completing a course, you must answer every "Think
About It" question. You get credit for completing a Unit when you answer
every question in that Unit. The course is completed when you have
answered every question, in every Unit of that course.
I'm trying to review the course, but part of the screen is missing or I have to scroll on most pages?
Change your screen resolution to 800x600 if possible in the control
panel. You can also turn off your toolbars in your browser to provide
more viewing space. If you use a 640x480 screen resolution, you still
need to scroll on some pages.

If the course has a student guide, go to the Table of Contents to
download. Adobe Acrobat is required, which can also be downloaded from
